Delete your account and data

You can delete your Binago account at any time. You don’t need the app installed or to be able to sign in.

How it works

  1. Open the deletion page and enter your account’s email address or your verified phone number.
  2. You’ll get a one-time confirmation link by email (valid for 1 hour) or a 6-digit code on your phone. This proves the request really comes from you.
  3. On the page that opens you see which account will be deleted and confirm one last time. Your account is deleted immediately and you’re signed out on all devices.

If you can sign in to the app, you can do the same under Settings → Close account.

What is deleted

  • Your name, email address, phone number and password
  • Your sessions, notification device registrations and notification preferences
  • Your links to units and building manager roles; a pending building application is withdrawn

Kept without your name

  • The building’s dues, charge and payment records and the history of requests and comments: kept so they can no longer be linked to you (“Deleted user”), because of the building’s legal accounting and retention obligations
  • Records of your acceptance of the terms and privacy policy: kept without your name as legal evidence

Good to know

  • If you are the only manager of a building, you first need to add another manager in the app so the building isn’t left without one.
  • If your wallet has a credit, talk to your building management about a refund before deleting; a deleted account’s credit can’t be used.
  • Deletion can’t be undone. If you have trouble with the link or code, write to support@binago.app.
